Carmen Group’s success on behalf of our education clients is built on our expertise in education policy. For over 30 years our staff has worked closely with historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs), medical schools, accredited universities, community colleges, charter schools, inner city K-12 schools, private high schools and religious schools, and vocational education programs. Our education professionals understand the diverse nature of our clients’ needs and have extensive experience working with members and staff of the Education Committees in Congress, officials at the Department of Education, and within key authorization and appropriations committees and subcommittees. When Hurricane Katrina devastated our Gulf Coast, Carmen Group secured over $400 million in low interest loans via appropriations to allow Dillard University and other impacted HBCUs to recover and rebuild. And whether it be through K-12 funding, research grants, loan forgiveness, policy implementation, or legislative drafting and agenda setting, Carmen Group has an incredible history of success in crafting and executing individualized strategies that enable our education clients to gain support for their nationally significant education objectives.
