Carmen Group helped secure the first major expansion of a commuter rail line in the Midwest, authorized almost $2 billion for four new commuter rail lines, worked with the Federal Transit Administration to execute three Full-Funding Grant Agreements in a single year, as well as security enhancement grants from the Department of Homeland Security, for the nation’s premier and largest suburban commuter rail system, Metra in Chicago.
